St. Patrick's Day Irish Fair

On Saturday 10 March 2012 the 23^rd annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, proudly supported by Brisbane City Council, will once again fill the streets of Brisbane with colour and festivity. Following the parade we will be holding an Irish Fair in King George Square, Adelaide St. The Saint Patrick’s Day Parade committee would like to extend an invitation to join us in the celebrations at the Irish Fair. This free community event is open to the public and will run from 11:00am - 2:00pm.

And a special performance by the Rhythm Junkies

‘Rhythm Junkies’ is the brand new stage production from Brisbane-based performance company, Red Hot
Rhythm. The show features 10 performers – 3 tap dancers, 3 Irish dancers, 1 Irish fiddle player, 1 Didjeridoo
player and 2 African drummers. Through a spectacular, highly entertaining fusion of dance and music, ‘Rhythm
Junkies’ tells the story of 10 struggling professional performers who, after coincidentally meeting backstage
during a one-off show they’ve each been booked to perform in, begin fusing and experimenting with their
various rhythmic art-forms, on stage and off. They all relish the experience until the night ends, and they must
return to their ‘real job’.
